In 2023, those prayers were answered when the opportunity was presented to plant a church in Northeast Shelby County, Alabama—a place where less than 17% of the population regularly attends church. The Heaths felt a stirring to help reignite faith in an area historically known as part of the “Bible Belt” but now marked by spiritual disconnection and significant needs, including a rise in opioid addiction.

Jayson and Cori’s heart for Generation Church is rooted in Psalm 145:4: “Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.” They are committed to empowering families and individuals through vibrant worship, sound biblical teaching, small group discipleship, and a culture of missional living. Their vision is to see a church that gathers in faith and transforms the community by being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Jayson and Cori believe in creating a family-focused environment where people of all generations can connect with God and each other. They are passionate about fostering a space for the Holy Spirit to move freely—leading, empowering, and equipping everyone to live in freedom and fulfill their God-given purpose.
